Pat Mullarky called the June 15, 2010 meeting to order at the 8-HI Club at 7:00 p.m.. The Agenda was read and approved by Gale Ullman and Ed Fry. The Secretaries report was read and approved by Rick Thompson and Jerry Gudowicz. The Treasurer's report was read and approved by Mary Lou Neumann and Jerry Gudowicz. No report from the officers.
Trail Report:
The trails are maintained on a regular basis. They are reported in very good shape. With the wet weather, the trails are staying stable.
Pat & Dave looked into buying a rig for dust control. Dave remembered WATVA had one for sale for $5000. The solution will be purchased from Ray's Feed Mill in Norway, MI. Only needs to be put on once a year. The water rig was an extremely good buy because it has rained ever since we got it! Motion was made by Joe Stoll, second by Ed Fry, to buy a weight kit for the tractor at a cost of $1300. Motion carried.
Club Raffle:
One third of the tickets are back, ticket sales are going well.
New Business:
The maps that are being made are for snowmobile only, by Marinette County Snowmobile Alliance. The WATVA Regional Meeting will be held July 31st at Townsend Town Hall. The event includes guided trail rides starting at 9 a.m. with a luncheon at 1 p.m. and a meeting at 2 p.m.. There also will be trail-leveling demos by Land Pride reps from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. All Activities will be at the Townsend Town Hall on Hwy 32 in Townsend.

Members Input:
Bill Ebert and his wife took over the Trails End. Bill talked to land owners about ATV trails opening again with little progress, but they are talking. Maybe will happen soon. Joe Stoll made a motion, second by Gale Ullman, to order more short sleeved t-shitrs. Motion was made by Kevin Rocque, 2nd by Gale Ullman to purchase a fuill page in the county tourism guide and sell ads as in the past. Gale said the web site is looking better. The next meeting will be at the club shed July 20th at 7:00 p.m. with a cookout at 6:30. Motion made by Jerry Gudowicz, 2nd by Bill Ackley to adjourn the meeting.

Pat Mullarky called the May 18, 2010 meeting to order at Trails End at 7:00 p.m. with fourteen members present.

The agenda was read and approved by Orv and Rick.

The Secretary's report was read and approved by Jerry and Bill.

The Treasurer's report was read and approved by Ed and Bill.

OFFICERS' REPORTS:
Riders are very happy with the trails. Orv said the Lakes States raffle was a huge success. Lake States is doing fine.

Roy from Iron Mountain Power Sports gave $100 vouchers to be used on new or used Powersports units in stock. If used the club will get $25.

TRAIL REPORT:
The trails are being groomed at least once a week. They are in good condition.
The County Snowmobile Alliance map will be the only offical map with no trails for ATV's. County will probably approve the map.
UTV bill will be a 2-year program which expire June 2012. Eleven counties have signed up, with 8 or 9 counties saying no. Out of state reistration will $15 per year.

Motion was made by Orv, second by Rick to look into purchashing 5,000 gal - beet juice mixture - for dust control. 

The next meeting will be at the 8-HI Club June 15th at 7:00 p.m.

DUN-GOOD RIDERS MEETING MINUTES

 

 

Pat Mullarky called the April 20, 2010 meeting to order at Richards at 7:00 p.m.

Bill and Rick approved the agenda.           

The Secretary’s report was read and approved by Jan and Jerry Neumann.

There was no treasurer’s report.

Officers Reports: 

It was decided to donate $100 to the Terry Wagner family to be used as they wish. Trails opened April 22nd. Amberg opened roads to ATV’s. Benson Lake Road to Dow Dam Road, also Marcus Road over to Westburg Road and Fire Lane Road to get to the Four Seasons Club on ATV’s. UTV’s are also allowed on trails. No one under 16 years old is allowed to drive the UTV’s. UTV’s will be registered as an ATV and can be registered at any DNR station, also at Northwoods Bar in Athelstane, also at the Florence Resource Center in Florence. Anyone out of state will have to register in Wisconsin. The trial period will be until June 2012.

Club raffle tickets are being given out to all businesses and to anyone who wishes to sell them.

 County Alliance Map committee has had several meetings about a map for Marinette County. It is a County Snowmobile Alliance, four clubs have combo ATV & snowmobile trails in the county and 4 have snowmobile only trails in the county. They feel there is no place for ATV trails on the map.

UTV bill has been passed for another 2-year registration, until June 2012. In that time they will look into being permanent. Every county is allowed to be in the program. Towns can opt out.

A Thank you note was read from a snowmobile student for paying for the class.

We will be making a $100 donation to the Veterans’ Park in Dunbar, plus purchasing a brick.

The next monthly meeting will be at Trails End on May18th, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.

Meeting Minutes March 16, 2010

 

 

Pat Mullarky called the March 16, 2010 meeting to order at Lake Hilbert Campground at 7:00 p.m. Seventeen members were present.

Agenda was approved by Rick and Joe.

Secretary’s report was read and approved by Terry and Rick.

Treasurer’s report was read and approved by Jan and Mary Lou.

There was no report from the officers.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

Trails were closed on March 15th. The County will decide when they will be open. Work also has to be done on the trails.

Club raffle prizes have been purchased:

1st 2010 Polaris 500 ATV

2nd 2010 Triton XT10-101, 2-place aluminum trailer

3rd Zenith 42” plasma TV

4th Mossberg 270 bolt-action rifle with scope

5th Weekend stay at Four Seasons Club

6th Weekend cabin rental in Goodman

Tickets will be $10, 1500 tickets purchased

 

NEW BUSINESS:

Tax exemption for equipment has passed.

It was decided to purchase 5 packs of Lakes States raffle tickets at $25.

UTV bill has passed with more counties included. Stickers have to be purchased from the DNR. It will be for a 2-year period.

Three students sent Thank You notes for the Snowmobile Safety Class.

It was decided to donate $500 to Fire & Rescue Squad for rescue equipment-Goodman Squad.

Next monthly meeting will be held at Richards, April 20th at 7:00 p.m.

Jerry Gudowicz and Rick Thompson made the motion to adjourn the meeting.

Pat Mullarky called the February 16th meeting to order at North Country Inn at 7:00 p.m. There were 16 members present.
The agenda was approved by Dave Schultz and Rick Thompson.
The Secretary's report was read and approved by Joe Stoll and Patti Mullarky.
The Treasurer's report was read and approved by Jan and Rick Thompson.
Rosie Marcely was invited to the meeting to interview club members about the purpose of the club and what they do. It will be published in the Peshtigo Times.
Joe Stoll gve a trail report and said they are still grooming 2 times a week and trails are still in good condition.
Brat Fry at 8-HI was well attended with a profit of $1780.
AWSC convention will be held March 12th in Appleton, WI. Joe Stoll, Pat & Patti Mullarky will attend. Pat & Patti will be our voting delegates.
WATVA Annual Meeting will be beld April 16th - 18th in Wausau. Anyone interested should contact Pat or Kathy.
Snowmobile Safety Class was held February 9th - 10th with 24-27 kids and 4 adults attending. 50% of the class did not pass. Daryl Gardner and Terry Wagner were the instructors.
The Club Open House will be Saturday, September 25, 2010. We should stay within $7000 for prizes. Get prices on ATV, trailer, gun and TV ( 32" $400). It was decided to have 1500 tickets.
It was decided to renew the ad in Terrain Tracks.
Next monthly meeting will be at Lake Hilbert Campground, March 16, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.
